Yo, check the fly shit. I really had a vision for making a bright feel good album. I like to choose themes for tapes(i call my albums tapes lol) where i can dive in and lyrically & sonically explore that world. If you’ve been paying attention I have done this with Anita Baker, Ramadan, the seasons, love relations(OPP) & so on. For this tape, I chose Mary J Blige. I was in my bag yo lol-the era of her first two albums was the era of rap that I enjoy/studied the most. It was like an r&b rendition of my classic 90’s style. @aldajedi produced the entire album,& I quarterbacked the arrangement. I don’t like to compare & contrast, but I know Im the greatest performer in DC & without a doubt this will be the best album to come from my city. The MJB Tape.
